European Street Cafe Brings Back Beer and Basball

The European Street Cafes have become known for their great selection of brews from the world over. Most of their stores boast over 200 hundred different brews both on tap and in bottles and cans. Slip into the quaint and comfortable surroundings of one of the four restaurants around town and you will find local brews from Intuition Ale Works and Bold City on tap alongside internationally known brews such as Weihenstephaner, Lindemans, and James Hoag’s.

European Street is also known for their generous happy hour that rewards patrons with two draft beers for the price of one daily from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. And that goes for the tall glasses of Imports as well as domestics. Many an evening has been lost swilling great beer, telling tall tales, and just enjoying the ambiance at the bar at one of the restaurants.

But, perhaps the greatest idea ever brought to fruition by E-Street, is the Beer and Baseball nights at the Jacksonville Suns baseball games each year. On these fun-filled nights, beer and baseball fans can purchase a ticket to the game and a wrist band to the Beer Garden just outside left field for a mere $20. For that measly pittance fans can enjoy a great baseball game in one of the country’s greatest farm team venues, the Baseball Grounds at Jacksonville, all the beer they care to drink (until the kegs run dry), and all the E-Street food they care to eat including Monster German Wieners.

The first of this year’s Beer and Baseball events takes place Saturday night, April 28 as the Jacksonville Suns – the double A affiliate to the Miami Marlins — take on the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, first pitch at 6:05 pm. Beer from Intuition Ale Works will be featured. Tickets for the Beer and Baseball event are $20 and may be purchased at any of the four European Street locations.
